Concludendo il suo comunicato, l’Associazione italiana di psicologia «invita i responsabili delle istituzioni politiche, sociali e religiose del nostro paese a tenere in considerazione i risultati che la ricerca scientifica ha prodotto sui temi in discussione». Auspico, con pari fermezza, che, oltre ai risultati di ricerche psicologiche, si tengano presenti quelli della riflessione antropologica e giuridica in materia e soprattutto del portato di quell’esperienza storica e morale plurisecolare, di cui siamo tutti gli eredi.
